A simple, renovated four-star, five blocks from the sea

Hotel Atlântico Travel Copacabana sits on Rua Barata Ribeiro, one of the streets running parallel to the beach, 500 metres from the sand and 750 from Siqueira Campos metro station. It is a 4-star hotel of the Rede Atlântico group — the same group as the Atlântico Copacabana, Business, Prime and Tower — with more than 10,500 guest reviews.

The rooms are compact, 18 to 21 m², all with air conditioning, flat-screen TV, minibar and private bathroom, and breakfast is included in the rates we saw: from about €70 a night for two. Among the months with a rate loaded, the most expensive are January and February (about €92) and the cheapest is September (about €69); New Year’s Eve and Carnival week rise to €200-250. Months without a bar do not have a rate loaded yet: the hotel may not have opened sales for those dates. For the exact figure, click here and see the live update right now.

Months marked “·” do not have a rate loaded yet: the hotel opens its calendar in stages. It does not mean it is closed. If you are looking at those dates, check anyway: rates appear as soon as the hotel publishes them.

Rio is warm all year round. December to March is summer, with humid heat, New Year’s Eve in Copacabana — the party is five blocks from the hotel — and Carnival; June to August is the Rio winter, drier and milder, and when hotels in the area are usually cheapest.

Everything very good, the breakfast is spectacular, the room is more than fine: clean, new, tidy. The bathroom is great too. The location is perfect, 400 m from the beach, close to shops and places to eat.

MayraArgentina · 08/2026

Very good breakfast. The rooms are small but comfortable. The downside: the lift. There are only two and housekeeping also uses them with their big trolleys, so the wait gets long. Apart from that, perfect.

Well located, close to the beach. I rented a car and parked it near the hotel for free. The downside: no pool.

The service and the breakfast were excellent. The downside: the bed was very soft and we woke up with aches.

A good stay overall. The beds, the breakfast buffet and the location. The downside: the towels were not changed.

Worth knowing before you book

We would rather tell you than have you find out on arrival. All of this comes from real reviews and the published scores.

🛗

Two lifts for 19 floors

Several reviews mention waits at peak times, because housekeeping uses them too with the linen trolleys. One guest on the 19th floor had to climb the last stretch by stairs.

🛏️

Compact rooms

An urban four-star, no pool

There is no pool or spa: what you pay for is the location, the breakfast and the service. Facilities score 7.1 and comfort 7.3, below location (8.8).

🅿️

No guaranteed parking

Spaces are limited and depend on the day’s availability. If you are coming by car, ask first.
